What does TEAS mean?

TEAS is an abbreviation for Trademark Electronic Application System.

TEAS Plus filing option is used to file an initial application for a trademark or service mark on the principal register. TEAS Plus has the lowest filing fee but more requirements than TEAS Standard.

TEAS Regular application is the most expensive with a filing fee of $325 per class of goods and services. If you file a TEAS Regular application, you can write custom descriptions of goods and services, and communications don't have to be entirely electronic.

TEAS RF (Reduced Fee) is a filing option of TEAS where applicants do not need to select an identification of goods and/or services from the Trademark ID Manual or satisfy the other TEAS Plus requirements at the time of filing.
